Insufficient funds – A Tap to Pay transaction may decline if there are insufficient funds to cover the cost of your order. Blocked merchants – As responsible lenders, we reserve the right to block transactions with certain merchants or industries and as such, you will not be able to use Tap to Pay with these merchants.

When you place an order using Zip, an authorization for 25% of your purchase amount is made at the time of your purchase to confirm your installment plan. If you don't have these funds available, your order will not be approved.
Does Zip accept everyone
Who accepts Zip payments Zip uses the Visa network, so anyone who accepts Visa payments can also accept Zip payments. Since there isn't a physical Zip card, the merchant will need an NFC tap payment system if you want to use Zip in-person.
Why would Zip deny me
Some merchant categories and specific merchants may be blocked. You may have outstanding late installments due. You will need to be in good standing across all your orders to make multiple purchases at the same time. You may be declined due to automated fraud and security screening by the Zip platform.

Login to your Digital Wallet. Click on the Zip Money account tile. Click the settings tab (located top right-hand corner) > 'Account limit increase' We'll be in touch with you shortly to advise if your request was successful.
